History of the UDAR Party

«UDAR (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reforms) of Vitaliy Klychko» is a political party led by the Hero of Ukraine, philanthropist, and world boxing champion Vitaliy Klychko.  

On April 24, 2010, the special 7th congress of the “Nova Krayina” (English: New Country) party decided to rename the party as “UDAR (Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reforms) of Vitaliy Klychko”. This name was officially registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on June 7, 2010.

At the present time, the ranks of “UDAR” include over 10,000 members in all 24 regions of Ukraine. The party has over 596 active party organizations. The party took part in the local council elections in October 2010. Today, 399 deputies of local councils of various levels represent “UDAR” in 15 regions of Ukraine.


Party’s Ideological Basis:

  • The development of Ukraine as a democratic country.


Party’s Main Goals
:

  • To focus Ukrainian political discourse on the interests of the society as well as European standards, which will allow Ukraine to become a successful European state.
