«UDAR» Gains Leadership Position in Zakarpattya

Commenting on recent results of a sociological study at Uzhorod Press Club, Doctor of Philosophy Oleksandr Pelin said that “UDAR” party led by Vitaliy Klychko established itself as a leader in the capital city of Zakarpattya Region.

According to Pelin, every fifth citizen of Uzhorod is ready to vote for “UDAR”. United Opposition party ranks second, while Party of Regions is third.

Pelin said, “Three political parties are holding leading positions in district #68. “UDAR” is leading the polls with approximately 20% of respondents ready to vote for it, while United Opposition is second with 17.2% of the vote and the Party of Regions is third with 12.4%.”

In addition, the expert said, a crucial factor in the ongoing election campaign is “a party’s ability to stand up for people.”

“People are more willing to vote for those politicians who can stand up both for themselves and ordinary citizens.”

A total of 484 respondents participated in the study, which was conducted by Zakarpattya sociologists from September 8 to September 16. The margin of error is 2.5%.
