“We are the primary alternative to the Party of Regions. Why? Because other parties have already worked with, cooperated with, or tried to cooperate with the party in power. I am convinced that in the next convocation of the Parliament we need to form a majority with the parties that fight for democratic future of Ukraine. I would like to declare that we deny any alliances with parties that have discredited themselves and shown their disregard for the people – namely, the Party of Regions and the Communists,” said Leader of the “UDAR” Party.
Klychko also stressed that “UDAR” is supporting six opposition-minded independents in single-mandate districts, including Oles Doniy in district #88 in Ivano-Frankivsk.
“We decided to support Doniy, because he is popular in the district, according to the results of the joint sociological study with our opposition colleagues. Many people know and respect Doniy as a principled person, who has been in politics for a long time and always remained conscientious, true to his ideals and the interests of the people. We need people like this in Ukrainian politics. That’s why we agreed to support him during our recent party congress, and recalled our candidate from the district,” commented Vitaliy Klychko.
Leader of “UDAR” also met with the residents of Ivano-Frankivsk at Viche Maydan. Over 10,000 people came to speak with Klychko and ask questions. During the meeting, Vitaliy Klychko introduced “UDAR” SMD candidates in the region.
When asked about the possibility of cooperation between “UDAR” and independent deputies in the next convocation of the Rada, Klychko noted, “We are ready to work with anyone who value their conscience, morals and principles, who are opposed to the ruling party and prepared to work in the interest of the country.”
