Patskan: 62 people still in hospital after break-up at Square and clashes at Presidential Administration

62 people, who were injured during the violent break up of the demonstration at the Independence Square on November 30h and clashes with the riot police at the Presidential Administration on December 1 are still hospitalized, said the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, “UDAR” MP Valery Patskan announced.

He noted that the majority of the victims have closed craniocerebral injuries, concussion and numerous bruises. The deputy handed the reporters a list of all the victims who are hospitalized with indicated diagnosis for each person. In general, as a result of clashes on November 30 and December 1 242 people including five foreigners approached healthcare facilities.
"I would like to tell about the detainees. Almost all of them are diagnosed with closed craniocerebral injuries. Yesterday we managed to win back Vladislav Zahorovka. Now he is in Oleksandrivsky Hospital and will stay there for three days. We and the representatives of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights visit detainees, provide them with medicines and find out whether they are provided with necessary medical aid"- Valery Patskan said.
The MP also said that the lawyers of the opposition parties are preparing documents for filing appeals against the arrest of the injured, as trial in these cases is scheduled for Monday.
