Klitschko demands Pshonka, Zakharchenko and Yakymenko to come to Parliament next week

The leader of UDAR Vitali Klitschko demands the Prosecutor General, Minister of Interior and head of the Security Service of Ukraine to present a report to the Parliament why the law on prevention of harassment of activists and the release of detainees is not fulfilled. Klitschko visited Prosecutor General’s Office and met Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka.

"We demand that the Prosecutor General's Office stop the pressure on activists and people who defend their rights. This pressure develops unprecedented scale these days. Also we demand to enforce the law on on prevention of harassment of the rally activists. The society has not heard anything about the investigation of beating students, journalists, activists and Tatiana Chornovol. Not to mention the fact that those involved in these crimes are still not named and not brought to justice”, the leader of UDAR said, commenting to reporters. “The Attorney General Pshonka said at the meeting that the prosecutors were unable to identify the riot police officers who had brutally beat students. Let the Prosecutor General come and tell what his office is actually engaged in", Vitali Klitschko said.

He said that UDAR also demands from the Prosecutor General's Office to take control and ensure transparent investigation into the cases of pressure on the party members. "For now, they are the head of the youth wing of UDAR Dmytro Bilotserkovets, who is harassed in Sevastopol , Sergiy Sabov of Kyiv region, who is summoned for questioning in the case of participation in blockade of busses with special squads in Vasylkiv on  December 9, 10, and other activists who face pressure", the leader of the UDAR said.
