Klitschko says authorities afraid of nationwide strike

Authorities are afraid of the nationwide strike and therefore resort to various provocations to prevent it, the leader of UDAR Vitali Klitschko said on air of Radio Liberty.

"The government is very afraid of the strike. As soon as it had been announced about the strike the information was spread immediately that the opposition would be unable to organize it", Klitschko said. The leader of UDAR said that according to the polls, 80% of the Ukrainians believe that Ukraine is moving in the wrong direction and they do not see any perspectives for themselves. "I am confident that now we can change the power in a constitutional manner. We therefore urge all people to join the strike", Vitali Klitschko pointed out.

According to Klitschko, it will be a warning strike at first, people will cease work for some time. "People will show the government In such a way that they do not want to live in current conditions and require change of power", he added. Klitschko is also convinced that it is unacceptable when the power ignores people and pretends they do not see the Maidan or hear demands of the people.
