In Cherkassy Klitschko meets activists released on home arrest. A venue for UDAR leader with party activist is allegedly mined

During his trip to Cherkassy, leader of UDAR Vitali Klitschko met with 5 activists whom court has released on home arrest earlier today.

Young men told that they spent 19 days in hospital, then in jail.

According to the activists, they were beaten only by “Berkut” officers. In hospital they were called heroes,  political prisoners - in jail. Three out of five men are not locals. They expressed special thanks to Cherkassy citizens who supported them and brought food and medicine.

UDAR leader stressed that he would further seek unconditional amnesty rehabilitation for all activists. He also informed that UDAR provides legal assistance to victims and activists.

Young men assured that they were not afraid of terror on the authorities’ side and would continue the struggle.

While Klitschko was holding a meeting with the released, a few people came to prison holding banners "Accountability for demolition!" and "Opposition, here are victims of your policy".

Also, before Vitali Klitschko’s arrival in Cherkassy police received a report about a mine at the venue where UDAR leader was supposed to meet party activists. Electricity was cut off in the building.

Klitschko assured that he would meet activist and had no intention to change his plan.
