Klitschko noted that it is essential to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He pointed out that he welcomed the introduction of sanctions on Russia by the U.S.
"I will convince Europeans and that they also should introduce tougher sanctions against Russia. We do not have any other peaceful way out to resolve the conflict and prevent it from deepening. A referendum on joining Russia, scheduled for March 16 in the Crimea, is both illegal and unconstitutional. I appealed to the deputies of the Crimean parliament, elected by Ukrainian citizens, asking them to cancel this ridiculous decision," Klitschko said.
Vitali Klitschko came to Dublin to take part in the Сongress of the European People's Party. UDAR leader will hold meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, EPP President Joseph Daul, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
