"Crimea is on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe. Citizens of Ukraine are at the mercy of foreign invaders and local criminals. There is a threat of ethnic cleansing. Crimean Tatars, Ukrainian, and all the patriots of Ukraine are under a threat. Therefore, it is necessary to pass a law "On temporarily occupied territories", which provide for issues that concern ordinary people," Vitali Klitschko said.
According to the politician, this law would address the issue of arranging a safe exit and resettlement of refugees, status of enterprises in such areas, and how ownership rights would be guaranteed after the return of territories. Moreover, the law would provide for education of citizens of occupied territories, as well as communication between the citizens and Ukraine.
UDAR leader underlined that Ukraine should prepare a bill for all the losses which Putin's imperial ambitions caused in Crimea. "It is time for all charitable funds, everyone who has the opportunity, to join efforts to help our people in Crimea - our soldiers and patriots who want to leave the peninsula and need resources to temporarily reside outside Crimea, and refugees, who will inevitably appear. Today I suggested in Parliament that we transfer a part of our salaries to help the patriots in Crimea, and use all the opportunities that we have to support this initiative," Vitali Klitschko stressed.
