"I have just voted for a run-off voting at the Kyiv mayoral elections. Unfortunately, the draft law has not received the required number of votes. My personal opinion is that the election must be held in two rounds. This will allow to avoid the situation similar to Leonid Chernovetsky victory, when only a third of the Kiev citizens voted for him," Vitali Klitschko stressed. He noted that he hopes plans to win in the first round.
When asked about negotiations and agreements with other candidates, Klitschko admitted that such negotiations were being held. "I am very grateful to Yuriy Lutsenko. He claimed that he was willing to run for the post, but he did not want to lead a war against one another and supported me in a mayoral campaign. People who make such decision also assume responsibility for changes in the country," UDAR leader pointed out.
