Klitschko reminded that Parliament had passed amendments to the legislation that ensures safe voting for each citizen. "Implementation of the law and security of voting will be a performance indicator for law enforcement officials. The whole world is looking at us. Everyone’s actions will be assessed," Klitschko said.
At the same time, politician noted that it also concerns local elections. Vitali Klitschko said that there is information that one of Odessa mayoral candidates Gennady Trukhanov has two passports as a citizen of the Russian Federation. "How can foreign national be running for mayor of the Ukrainian city? Let alone the fact that he is a citizen of the state, which is basically at war with Ukraine, under whose flag militants organize bloody provocations," he said. Klitschko called on Speaker Turchynov to investigate such facts and find out whether the law had been violated.
