He said that all must remember that it had been injustice, lack of laws, and lack of prospects that led people to Maidan. Klitschko stressed that a new president and new city authorities are committed to implement people's expectations. Leader of the UDAR pointed out that a new government should finally listen to people. "We understand protest sentiments which are circulating in the society. We understand that people distrust politicians. We will appeal to people asking to return to peaceful life," the politician said.
He underlined that society should control authorities, and the government's decision should be transparent. "Democracy is a dictatorship of law. Law applies to everyone. Everyone should be equal regardless of their financial or social status," Vitali Klitschko said.
