Klitschko signed the order after an operational meeting on the introduction of new public utility rates.
In addition, the mayor instructed local public utility offices to provide for work of the relevant departments in extended work hours and on weekends for a period necessary to fully meet public demand. If necessary, the number of employees involved in this work must be increased.
Klitschko also instructed the heads of the district state administrations to create a working group on coordination of compensation granted for increased rates.
Also, the mayor instructed the Department of Social Policy to ensure control over the timely appointment of additional compensation for utilities and proper information campaign.
The heads of the district administrations were appointed accountable for implementation of mechanisms of public utility services improvement and provide organizational and technical measures related to the introduction of increased utility rates and strengthen social protection of the low-income groups.
Kyiv mayor also instructed the Department of Social Policy, Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure and the Department of Economics and Investment to inform the residents about the conditions of granting compensation for additional costs for utilities.
