The decision of Parliament to allocate funds for the Kyiv budget will allow financing the most urgent needs of the city and social payments, the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko commented to journalists on adoption of budget amendments. The amendments foresee a subvention of UAH 1.8 billion from the state budget to the Kyiv city budget.

"Today I am at Parliament as the mayor of Kyiv, not a lawmaker. Amendments to the budget provide for additional funding of the capital’s budget. It is very important and will bring changes to a difficult situation in Kyiv and trigger implementation of necessary reform," Vitali Klitschko stressed.

Kyiv mayor told reporters that today Kyiv city council has voted for strengthening of fiscal discipline. "This will enable the budget to receive additional UAH 850 million and save more than 260 million for expenditures," the mayor underlined.
