Klitschko: New parliament and government must work up to the collar to implement reforms

Necessary conditions for transformations in Ukraine are provided, and now parliament and government must work day and night to implement reforms in the country, the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said in an interview to Radio Vesti.

“Necessary conditions for transformations in Ukraine are provided – parliament was elected, it appointed the government and parliamentary committees. We must immediately hit the ground running. Everyone must work up to the collar. There is a coalition agreement which determines first key steps which must be embodied in the nearest future,” Vitali Klitschko emphasized.

Commenting on appointment of foreigners in the government, Klitschko noted that the key point was to apply their experience in implementation of reforms. “I do not think this is bad. Positive experience may be useful. Still, it should not be just a nice move, but every minister could materialize their experience and knowledge into action, as in case there is no political will and room for profound reforms no foreigner can implement them,” Klitschko emphasized.
