“Authorities are widely criticized. I cannot talk for all, but I do know the people who came to office after the Revolution of Dignity, and who sincerely long for changes. I took responsibility for an important area of work, Kyiv, the heart of Ukraine. All I do I do openly. Not only the authorities, but also, which is far more important, the society has changed. Everyone understands that their aspiration and actions matter a lot,” Klitschko noted.
The mayor pointed out that the Revolution of Dignity began last year, but it is still underway, as much needs to be done, including implementation of necessary reforms. “Today our soldiers die in the East, protecting the independence and territorial integrity of our country. Many of my friends are there. There is also a frontline on everyone’s workplace. Every day we have to work and move forward,” Klitschko emphasized.
