Talking to the people who came to Maidan, Klitschko emphasized that Ukraine should not waste the sacrifice of the Heavenly Hundred. “These heroes died for a free democratic Ukraine, a part of the EU in the future. Today all together we have to do our best so as not to waste the sacrifice which made the late heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, change the country for the better so that people can feel the reforms. I can see many familiar faces today, from Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. A year ago we were standing at Maidan and together we won,” Kyiv mayor said.

The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko came to the Independence Square to commemorate the fallen heroes of the Revolution of Dignity. The mayor also walked up Khreshchatyk Street and spoke with people.
