“We talked about the future of Ukraine and the reforms which must be implemented first of all. I took Kyiv as an example of the efforts of authorities to reform the country. In the capital city we assume that reforms cannot be implemented at the expense of the poorest,” Klitschko said.
Also, Klitschko and Nuland touched the perspectives of investing in Ukraine and Kyiv in particular, and undertaking necessary measures, like fighting corruption and prosecution office reform to make anticorruption efforts more successful and effective. “I asked Victoria Nuland to help attract American investors to Kyiv, because it is very important for us. It is all about economy revival, creating new jobs and development of city infrastructure,” Klitschko emphasized.
