“We touched urgent reforms which Ukraine desperately needs, particularly law enforcement and prosecution bodies. Joe Biden emphasized that the Ministry of Interior and prosecution office should work effectively in anticorruption investigations and bring those guilty to justice. This will be the warning to those who are lured by the opportunity of getting easy money,” Klitschko said after the meeting.
Also, the parties discussed possibilities of investing in Ukraine and Kyiv. “US business expects really business-enabling environment, clear procedures and conditions for activities in Ukraine, from granting permits to fair tenders and protection of property. I have assured Joe Biden that we do our best to establish such conditions in Kyiv, and I personally guarantee the investment,” Klitschko said.
He also thanked the US leadership for the consistent position of the USA in support and assistance to Ukraine.
