Kyiv would implement reforms and introduce modern technologies for effective management in the city, no matter how difficult it could be. “It will improve economic situation as well as boosting security and development of Kyiv as a European capital city,” Klitschko said. “Ukraine has chosen its way. It is a European way. We have to do a lot in order to path it. We should be decisive and principal, rather than think that halfway changes can be effective,” the mayor of Kyiv, leader of the UDAR Party Vitali Klitschko said during a meeting with the EPP President, MEP Joseph Daul in Riga.

In Latvia capital, Klitschko took part in a meeting of the EPP EaP leaders.

The EPP President told Klitschko that Europe supported Ukraine in its European aspirations, and expects a well-coordinated work of all branches of power and European-focused political forces to implement necessary steps for European integration.

The EPP summit declaration, adopted in Riga before the Eastern Partnership summit, runs that leaders of EPP, the EU, and Eastern Partnership expect free visa regime with Ukraine and Georgia to be introduced in 2016, after the European Commission report which will assess how necessary criteria will have been fulfilled.
