Klitschko to attend the Munich Security Conference

The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko will attend the opening ceremony and events of the Munich Security Conference which will take place on February 16-18.

The conference agenda will focus on the future role of the European Union as a global actor and its relations with Russia and the USA. 

In the margins of the Munich Security Conference a series of bilateral meetings of Vitali Klitschko is scheduled to be held, in particular with the US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, Federal Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz, Chairman of the Christian Social Union (CSU) parliamentary group in the Bundestag Alexander Dobrindt. 

Vitali Klitschko will also attend a traditional reception hosted by Munich mayor Dieter Reiter during the Conference.

Furthermore, Kyiv mayor will address the audience of «Security and Peace Forum» panel discussion held under the auspices of International Democrat Union and International Republican Institute (IRI)  featuring US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, president of IRI Daniel Twining, and member of Canadian Parliament Tony Clement. 

Moreover, Vitali Klitschko will attend a lunch hosted by Yalta European Strategy, where the issues and challenges of the Ukrainian national security will be discussed.
